Anime Quiz Battle FAQ
16 questions answered in full, with the figures behind each answer.
What is Anime Quiz Battle?
Anime Quiz Battle is a free real-time anime and manga trivia game playable in the browser at https://anime-quiz.ezoniks.fr. 2 to 4 players get the same question at the same moment, and the fastest correct answer wins the round. It covers 15 series and 739 verified questions in French and English, with no download and no signup.
Is Anime Quiz Battle free?
Yes. Anime Quiz Battle is free and stays free: every question, every game mode and the leaderboard are available without paying. An optional Premium plan at €4.99/month removes ads, enlarges private rooms and unlocks detailed stats. It never buys a correct answer or extra time — the game has no pay-to-win mechanic.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Anime Quiz Battle is playable in guest mode: open the site and answer your first question within seconds, with no email and no password. A free account only preserves your stats, your win streak, your progression and your leaderboard rank — it never unlocks content.
How do I play an anime quiz with friends?
On Anime Quiz Battle you create a private room and share its 6-character code or link. Friends join from their own phone or laptop with nothing to install. A room holds 4 players as guests, 8 with a free account and 12 with Premium. Duel mode also lets you challenge one specific person.
How many players can join a match?
A real-time Anime Quiz Battle match holds 2 to 4 players, all on the same question at the same time. Private rooms go higher: up to 12 participants on a Premium account. Solo practice is played alone against the clock.
How does a match work?
An Anime Quiz Battle match runs 10 multiple-choice questions with at most 15 seconds per question. Every player sees the exact same question and the exact same countdown; the fastest correct answer scores highest. A full match therefore takes about three minutes.
Which anime series are covered?
Anime Quiz Battle ships 15 dedicated quizzes, one per series: Naruto Shippuden, One Piece, Naruto, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Steins;Gate, Hunter x Hunter, Jujutsu Kaisen, One-Punch Man, Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, My Hero Academia. The deepest catalogues are Naruto Shippuden, One Piece, Naruto. Each series has its own page with facts, characters, quotes and sample questions shown together with their answers.
Where do the questions come from, and are they accurate?
The 739 Anime Quiz Battle questions are generated from verified data rather than written from memory: series facts (studio, year, episode count, genres, voice actors) come from MyAnimeList through the Jikan API, quotes from Wikiquote and story arcs from Wikipedia, the latter two under CC BY-SA. Every record keeps its source URL and fetch date.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Anime Quiz Battle runs directly in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on phone, tablet and desktop. It is also a Progressive Web App, so it can be added to a home screen and opened like an app — but it never requires the App Store or Play Store.
Is the game available in French?
Yes. French is the default language of Anime Quiz Battle: the interface, the questions and the answers are fully translated, not just the shell. English lives under the /en URL prefix. Both languages are first-class and each has its own indexed pages.
Can I play solo or practise one specific series?
Yes. Anime Quiz Battle has a solo practice mode with no opponent, and every series page carries a button that starts a session filtered to that series alone — a One Piece quiz asks only One Piece questions. It is the simplest way to revise one franchise before facing other players.
Is there a leaderboard?
Yes. Anime Quiz Battle keeps a publicly viewable global leaderboard with global, weekly and daily views. Appearing on it requires a free account, since a ranking needs a stable identity over time; the game itself stays playable as a guest.
Is it suitable for someone new to anime?
Yes. Anime Quiz Battle questions carry three difficulty levels, and the most mainstream series (Naruto, One Piece, Death Note, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia) have the deepest question pools. A player who has watched only one series can start that series' quiz and answer only on what they know.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes, and mobile is the first-class target. Anime Quiz Battle is designed for a phone in portrait, one-handed: large touch targets, readable type, and a match that fits in three minutes. Real time runs over a websocket connection built to survive mobile networks.
Does Anime Quiz Battle collect personal data?
Playing Anime Quiz Battle as a guest requires no email, no name and no phone number. An account stores only a username, an email and game progression. The site is hosted in Europe, GDPR-compliant, and its privacy policy lists every stored field and its retention period.
